Weddings in France
With a diverse and varied topography ranging from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean, weddings in France are difficult to define, but always a pleasure to be a part of. The natural rhythm of France allows for time to appreciate the finer things, and the culture is one of intimacy and ritual. I’ve been lucky enough to work on countless weddings in France, each as incredible as the last, from cozy familial celebrations in countryside chateaus to Parisian elopements where the Champs-Elysée becomes a makeshift venue for a first dance.

A Chevre D’or Wedding in Eze, France
Philip captured every key detail of our wedding in France perfectly and exquisitely. Our film feels like a piece of us, as well as a love letter to the city we adore, and it was a joy to have him there with us on the day. We are thrilled with the result, and cannot thank him enough for his hard work and incredible talent.

Weddings in France
It goes without saying that one of the reasons weddings in France are so reliably incredible is that France itself is a deeply romantic place to spend time. It’s history is one of ideas, poetry and art, and this in itself is incredibly captivating. France has a reputation for profundity and rarely disappoints. It is never difficult to work France as a destination into a wedding film. The country naturally permeates and radiates it’s own distinct energy, as well as looking incredibly beautiful. Whether it’s a stroll down the cobbles of Montmartre and the Marais or a shared vintage bottle in an isolated and intimate country cottage, France exudes romance. It’s a place not just to visit but to fall deeply in love with. It is so obviously perfectly pitched and matched for incredible weddings, and that’s partly why I love returning.
You might be toasting to happiness and prosperity with your loved ones in Sancerre, with views of the Loire Valley, or strolling through the narrow streets of Lyon, sipping on a coffee before the day begins, and watching as the world walks by. You could be soaking up the golden sun on the coast of La Rochelle, or sharing champagne in gorgeous medieval Troyes. Whichever idiosyncratic corner of France you choose, you are bound to be struck by incredible beauty and picturesque settings. The French countryside in particular is lush and vast, and the weddings I’ve been lucky enough to attend there have a genuine magic brought to them by their setting.
Weddings in France are always different, partly because the country itself is so wonderfully diverse, but one thing that unites them is that France always does luxury with ease. Relaxing on the riviera or delving into Paris, there is always elegance and sophistication in a country so achingly opulent. France is luxury just by reputation, the glitter of the seine at night or the natural charm of Cannes. Whenever I get the chance to return to France I’m struck by the lifestyle, the fine wine, good food, cafe culture and warm sun are intoxicating and make it easy to want to return.
