I’ve been so lucky over the last 10 years to have been invited by many of my couples to film their elopement videos. When this invitation comes, it becomes so much more than a matter of creating a Elopement film. The relationship goes way beyond simply making a video of the elopement day. You become official witnesses, a friend, a single point of advice and often a shoulder to cry on or laugh with. You celebrate together, drink together and adventure together. There’s a connection that’s created on the day but lasts forever. Trust me, I’ve been there many times.
These are a selection of some of our favorite elopement videos
Elopement videos are obviously different to conventional wedding films as things do generally need to be set up a little. With a standard wedding with guests, it’s all about ‘the natural approach’. With an elopement video I try my hardest to mirror this approach in the things that we do. You’ll obviously conduct a ceremony and you’ll get ready too. But it’s good sometimes to mirror the things that you may have done if you were entertaining over a hundred people. Cut a cake, dance together, make toasts, pop champagne, call your family at home, light a fire, ride a bike. We can fill your day with enough natural looking activities so that you won’t feel as much pressure to perform in front of a camera, which to be fair no one really likes to do.
