Lara + Adam (+Holly) // Save the Date Wedding Video
A few weeks ago, we were just about to get into the car to go on a short family holiday when my inbox suddenly pinged as it normally does about fifty million times a day (well quite a lot, anyway). Normally, I would of dealt with whoever was trying to get in touch on my return, however this time I noticed the words ‘vintage’, ‘barn wedding’, and ‘giant Jenga’ in the enquiry. I was hooked and immediately responded, despite the kids moans for delaying their journey. Everything Lara told me about her big day sounded amazing and to be truthful, I would have sulked like a baby if I didn’t secure the booking. A few weeks later we arranged to meet and, to make things even more perfect, they lived just ten minutes away in Carnforth (considering my last two clients live and work in Switzerland, I was over the moon).
Anyway, we met up and talked about their fabulous Lake District vintage barn wedding, and as you can see I even managed to twist their arms into letting me make them this little pre wedding film. I’ve mentioned pre wedding films to quite a lot of my clients but to be honest most haven’t really been that keen. It’s amazing that something that is so huge abroad, isn’t really that big in the UK.
We arranged to meet on a Sunday and as Lara was travelling down to South Wales for a few days we only had about an hour to wrap up the filming. We had a basic plan that involved playing golf and piggy backs but that was about it. I was slightly worried about the weather as the week leading up to the day had been miserable, however conditions couldn’t have been better. Arnside is one of my most favourite places on earth. Working with a crisp Winter chill in the air, we finished at around 2:30, just as the sun was beginning to set. Over the river Kent, the Lake District mountains were covered in snow and behind us was the beautiful woodland that surrounded the Arnside knott.
I hope you like this guys. Can’t believe I got this filmed and edited in the same day. As requested I’ve made it quite fun, but as I told you I’m a sucker for a bit of soppiness.
